"City of Aidolef"

Sun Nov 30, 2008, 11:25 AM
The "City of Aidolef" and the "City of Felodia" pictures.

The City of Aidolef [link] is finished, now combine this image with right-side of the City of Felodia [link] and you will have the full picture. So now I will be getting back to the "Roots" painting and continue to post the next stages of this process.

Your art is outstanding! I love your use of color in contrast to the sharp shadows, and the air of excitement that you give some of your drawings.

I love how some people keep working on traditional methods, doing things so incredible.
I hope to see more in the future.

Don't ever stop drawing!

hello...if i may ask where to u get all those damn pastels!!i mean honestly i use a box for one art project(one photo) u have like 50 photos with pastel!

I use Faber-Castell soft pastels and derwant coloured pencils. I use the pastel for most of the background colour and some initial detail, but most of the detail is completed with coloured pencils. The trick is to use Fixative spray between each stage of the process. I would usually have sprayed the picture about 5-6 times before I'm finished, this technique enables you to build up the colour and detail.
